What's up in the Register?

The Australian & NZ Nursery Registers are work–a-day books about companies, their people, plants, and products. It does not pretend to be an academic botanical reference. This is why in the index you will see that sometimes we have used true botanical names and at others common names, our rule being to adopt what is most often used by the trade.

Where the information comes from

Information in the Registers is updated throughout the year and confirmed in most cases by printed or electronic questionnaire or phone prior to publication. All information is published free. Checks are made where possible, but in general information supplied by companies is published in good faith as being accurate.

Locating Companies

For simplicity and ease of use, the Register's contain a single A-Z listing of companies regardless of type. This is supported by two indexes: a general Plants, Products and Services Index; and a secondary Locality Index. Companies are also grouped by type within the general index – see for example Consultants, Landscape Architects, Nurseries Wholesale etc. The Locality Index is invaluable for travellers or for target marketing.
When consulting the Plants, Products and Services Index, a guide to company locations is provided by the postcode published beside each name.
